Anchara Pride of Chhattisgarh Scholarship

1. Overview
The Anchara Pride of Chhattisgarh Scholarship honors students who demonstrate outstanding academic excellence, co-curricular participation, leadership ability, and community engagement. It seeks to identify students who reflect the true spirit and promise of Chhattisgarh. It is the highest scholarship provided by Anchara Foundation.

2. Eligibility Criteria

Academic Eligibility
● Students enrolled in Class 8 to 12 OR first-year undergraduate studies in any recognized institution in Chhattisgarh.
● Minimum 75% marks (or equivalent grade) in the previous academic year.
● Students showing academic improvement despite challenges may receive special consideration.

Age & Residence
● Applicant must be a resident of Chhattisgarh.
● Must fall within the age range appropriate for their academic grade.

Inclusive Opportunity
The scholarship is open to students of all genders, communities, and socio-economic backgrounds.

3. Evaluation Dimensions
Candidates are assessed across the following weighted criteria:

● Academic Proficiency (25%) — Consistent performance, subject rigor, Olympiads/quizzes participation.
● Co-Curricular & Sports (25%) — Cultural activities, sports at district/state/national levels, leadership roles.
● Social Responsibility (20%) — Volunteering, community contribution, social awareness.
● Personal Character & X-Factor (10%) — Integrity, resilience, unique achievements or personal story.
● Interview & Essay (20%) — Communication, depth of thought, aspirations, values.

4. Selection Process

Stage 1: Application Review
Applicants must submit:
● Previous academic records
● Certificates for sports/cultural/community achievements
● Optional recommendation letter from teacher/principal
● Statement of Purpose (200–300 words) titled:
“Why I should be given the scholarship”

Stage 2: Personal Interview
Evaluates communication skills, leadership potential, values, aspirations, and overall suitability for the title “Pride of Chhattisgarh”.

Final Selection
Results are determined through a weighted score from all evaluation stages. Decisions by the Anchara Foundation Scholarship Committee are final.

5. Number of Awards
A limited number of scholars are selected each academic year to maintain the prestige of the award.

6. Scholarship Benefits
Recipients will receive:
● A one-time scholarship grant of ₹10,000
● Official certificate and recognition as an Anchara Scholar
● A commemorative badge
● Mentorship and participation in Anchara Foundation programs

7. Code of Conduct
Selected scholars must uphold exemplary behavior and maintain good academic standing. Misconduct may result in scholarship withdrawal.

8. Document Verification
All academic records and submitted documents will be verified. Any discrepancy or falsification will lead to disqualification.
